Finance, Permit Center, and Special Event Public Counters to Close
February 12 and Reopen February 17 at New City Hall Location

STOCKTON, Calif. – The City of Stockton is relocating all public service counters to New City Hall as part of the phased organizational move to the renovated buildings at 501 West Weber Avenue.

The following counters will close at 4:30 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2026:

Historic City Hall, 425 North El Dorado Street:
• Finance Department (Utility Billing and Business License)
• Event Permit Services

Permit Center, 345 North El Dorado Street:
• Community Development Department
• Building & Life Safety
• Planning
• Development Engineering
• Fire Prevention

These counters will reopen at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2026, at New City Hall:

501 West Weber Avenue,
Building 2, First Floor
Stockton, CA 95203

Counter hours will remain Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed every other Friday, with the first open Friday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Residents can continue to access many City services online during the transition.

• Utility payments can be made at stocktonca.gov
• Building permits can be submitted through the City's online permit portal
• Special event permit information is available at www.stocktonca.gov/events
• Parking citation inquiries can be addressed at www.citationprocessingcenter.com

City Council, and Board, and Commission meetings will continue to be held in Council Chambers at Historic City Hall, 425 North El Dorado Street.

This relocation marks the beginning of the City's phased move to New City Hall. Additional departments will transition as construction progresses, with full occupancy of both towers anticipated by summer 2026.
