Stockton Chamber Seeks Applications for Upcoming Board of Directors Vacancies

The volunteer leadership of the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce provides the energy and direction for programs and services for our members. Board members serve a vital role in establishing policy and providing guidance to committees and staff.

The mission of the Chamber is to aggressively develop and promote an economically vibrant business community.

The Chamber, in both its values and practices, is committed to inclusion and excellence in the management of all diverse people irrespective of differences. This means that there shall be no barriers to participation in any activity of the Chamber on the basis of economic position, gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.

The Stockton Chamber Board of Directors is comprised of individuals who concur with and will commit to the following requirements:

• Applicant, or the applicant’s employer, must be a Chamber Member in good standing at the time of application and must remain in good standing throughout their entire three year Board term, July 2023 – June 2026
• Attend Board meetings which are held the last Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM except for November and December. Only three unexcused absences per year are allowed.
• Are expected to serve on at least one Chamber committee in addition to the Board.
• Assume responsibility for expenses for official Chamber meetings.
• Become familiar and informed with Chamber programs and benefits.
• Commit to sponsoring one or more new member per year by actively promoting the benefits of Chamber membership.
• Attend Chamber functions and serve as a liaison between the membership they represent and the Board.
