Community Invited to Vision Zero Workshop
05/23/2025

The City of Stockton invites community members to participate in an upcoming Vision Zero Community Workshop.
Date: Wednesday, June 12, 2025
Time: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Stribley Community Center - 1760 E. Sonora St., Stockton
The workshop is a key part of the Stockton Vision Zero Action Plan, which aims to eliminate traffic-related deaths and serious injuries on city streets. This initiative focuses on creating safer, more equitable transportation options for all—whether walking, biking, or driving.
The event will include interactive activities where residents can share their transportation experiences, identify priority safety issues, and provide feedback on potential street improvements. The meeting will begin with a brief presentation, followed by an open house with stations where participants can ask questions and provide input.
The Vision Zero Action Plan is our city’s commitment to making Stockton’s streets safer for everyone—no matter how they get around,” said Eric Alvarez, Deputy Director of Public Works. “We can’t do this alone. Community input is critical to identifying the right solutions and building a transportation system that reflects the needs of all who live, work, and travel in Stockton.
All Stockton residents are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. Spanish interpretation and translated materials will be available. Register for the workshop
Residents who cannot attend in person are encouraged to visit the project website to review materials and submit feedback using an interactive map.
