The City of Stockton Community Development Department is hosting three Open Houses for community members to provide input on development standards and planning for housing in three neighborhood areas: Little Manila/Gleason Park, Cabral/East Cabral Station Area, and South Airport Way Corridor. These community meetings are open to anyone who is interested in providing perspective, ideas and preferences about how future housing should be developed in these neighborhoods:

    • El Concilio – Main Entrance, 224 S Sutter Street, Stockton
  • Cabral/East Cabral Station Area
    • Tuesday, June 13, 2023, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

    • Thursday, June 15, 2023, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The community sharing and information received from these open houses will help the City create new Housing and Neighborhood Action Plans, and update the Development Code, Design Standards, and Housing Element, which is part of the City’s General Plan for how the City will change and grow in the future.

In addition to Open House materials, updates have been made to the Shape Stockton webpage at www.stocktonca.gov/ShapeStockton. The website includes links to the Public Review Draft 2023-2031 Housing Element, a summary of Shape Stockton comments received from 2022-2023 open houses and meetings, a Housing Land Inventory mapping tool, and downloadable materials from all prior workshop and study sessions.

A Spanish-language interpreter will be available. If information is needed in languages other than English and Spanish, or in an alternative format, please call (209) 937-7220 at least five days in advance. Advance notification will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements and accessibility.

Additional information, including information about upcoming meetings, is available at www.stocktonca.gov/ShapeStockton. Community members are encouraged to contact the City of Stockton with questions or to provide suggestions and ideas. Please email ShapeStockton@Stocktonca.gov or call (209) 937-7220.
