Children’s Home of Stockton Redwood House Reception

07/14/2023

Children’s Home of Stockton (CHS) is proud to announce that Leadership Stockton Class of 2022-2023 selected Catalyst’s Redwood House Backyard Renovation as one of their class projects. Redwood is home to CHS’ Catalyst, a homeless prevention program serving Transition Age Youth (TAY) ages 18-24 who are at risk or experiencing homelessness.

Leadership Stockton revitalized the backyard of Redwood House to provide a functional and peaceful outdoor space for Catalyst TAY participants to rest and recharge. As part of this project, they completed landscaping, installed irrigation systems, assembled a shed and shade structure, refinished the concrete patio, painted a mural, purchased new outdoor patio furniture and recreational activities, and much more.

“We are honored to have the support of Leadership Stockton Class of 2023,” said Joelle Gomez, CEO of CHS. “This incredible project has transformed the backyard space at Redwood into a beautiful and serene outdoor oasis for our youth, who are on the path to healing and creating a brighter future.”

Children’s Home of Stockton will host a reception on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Redwood House (located at 1658 W. Euclid Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204) to celebrate the project’s completion and recognize Leadership Stockton Class of 2023. Join us to view this newly renovated outdoor space. The event is free and open to the public. Street parking is available. Please RSVP to Muay Saechao, Development Director, at msaechao@chsstk.org or (209) 395-3539.
