Health Careers Academy White Coat Ceremony January 2023

Stockton Chamber CEO Timm Quinn and BEA Coordinator Aireyana Cano were honored to attend the White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2023 at Health Careers Academy (HCA) last week! Seniors received their white coats to signify that they are close to completion. This ritual is a rite of passage for students entering the health field. We are honored to be a Community Partner with HCA!

Did you know the initial funding for the Health Careers Academy came when the Stockton Chamber sued the State of California over the coming “prison hospital facility” in Stockton to make sure it was not a drain on our community. As part of the settlement the Chamber was able to put local hire ordinances in place for the construction on the facility, secured money for transportation improvements, along with money for San Joaquin Delta College and SUSD.
