COVID-19 & Flu Testing & Treatment in San Joaquin County

What can a San Joaquin resident do if they have COVID-19 or flu symptoms (fever or chills, feeling fatigue, shortness of breath or trouble breathing, loss of taste or smell etc)?
- Visit San Joaquin County Test-to-Treat Sites: A Test-to-Treat site is a one-stop location where you can get tested, be seen by a health care provider, and receive medication. See (English, Spanish) flyer for more information. Currently, The six Test-to-Treat locations in San Joaquin County are Stockton (3 sites), Lodi, Tracy & Lathrop. No appointment or insurance is required. COVID-19 treatments must be taken within 5 days of when symptoms start to work. COVID-19 treatments are not a substitute for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Flu Testing: Our Test-to-Treat sites in San Joaquin General Hospital (Stockton) and Lodi Community Services Center (Lodi) also administer flu testing. See (English & Spanish) flyer for more information. Please note that only symptomatic people can get a flu/COVID-19 combo test at the two sites.
If a resident tests positive for COVID-19, they should do the following, too:
- Isolate from others for at least 5 full days. Use the Personal Testing and Isolation Calculator to help you determine how long you should isolate.
- Wear a high-quality mask if you must be around others at home or in public.
- Tell people you recently interacted with that they may have been exposed. You can do this by calling, texting, or emailing them, or notify them anonymously through the Tell Your Contacts website. Considering using CA Notify, a free exposure notification system that can let you know if you were recently near someone who tested positive for COVID-19, even if you don’t know each other. If you get COVID-19, CA Notify lets you alert those you may have exposed without using your name.
Vaccination:
San Joaquin County Public Health Services administers MPOX and COVID-19 (Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax & Updated Boosters) vaccines. Please see the (English, Spanish) flyer for more information. Qué puede hacer un residente de San Joaquin si tiene COVID-19 o síntomas de gripe (fiebre o escalofríos, sensación de fatiga, o dificultad para respirar, pérdida de sabor o del olfato, etc.)?
