Coronavirus Testing:

San Joaquin County has expanded free COVID-19 testing to all area residents, including residents showing no symptoms. 

Testing and contact tracing are going to be the key to reopening business and establishing a new normal.

Project Baseline: Drive Up Coronavirus Testing San Joaquin General Hospital

To schedule a drive-up appointment at San Joaquin General Hospital, please access www.projectbaseline.com/study/covid-19/eligibility/

ONLINE APPOINTMENT REQUIRED

Eligible persons must be 18 years or older, live in San Joaquin County, and must be willing to electronically sign the COVID-19 Public Health Authorization Form and Lab Consent. This program is intended to expand access to COVID-19 risk screening and testing. It is not intended for people experiencing severe symptoms such as severe cough, severe shortness of breath, severe fever, or other concerning symptoms who may need more immediate medical care.

OptumServe Walk Up Testing at the Lodi Library

To schedule a walk-up appointment at the Lodi Library, visit https://lhi.care/covidtesting.

Eligibility: If you are a parent/guardian registering on behalf of a minor please call 888-634-1123 to register for a test. If you are 13 years of age or older and are registering on your own behalf, please proceed with the following questions and online registration process.

Please note that phone registration will only be used for people without internet access or registering minors.

Tracy Testing Site at McKinley Elementary School

The City of Tracy, Tracy Unified School District and Planned Parenthood Mar Monte are providing free COVID-19 testing in the McKinley Elementary School parking lot. Days and Hours vary, please visit https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-mar-monte/campaigns/covid-testing to find the most current schedule.

Testing is available to all community members, symptomatic or asymptomatic. No appointment is required.

There will be some paperwork required when you arrive:

  • Please bring photo ID.

You will not be charged for testing: 

  • California passed a law requiring all health insurers, including Medi-Cal, to cover the full cost for COVID-19 testing. 
  • Please bring your insurance card, if you have insurance. We will bill your insurance, but your insurance company will not send you a bill.

When to seek COVID-19 treatment:

-You have difficulty breathing (shortness of breath)
-You feel like symptoms (such as fever and cough) are getting worse rapidly
-You are unable to care for symptoms at home
