Youth Employment Summer Success (Y.E.S.S.) Program - Summer job opportunities for Stockton youth ages 16-19

The City of Stockton will begin accepting applications for the Youth Employment Summer Success (Y.E.S.S.) Program on February 24, 2025. Details and information are available at the YESS Program website. The deadline for applications is Friday, March 7, 2025. Students hired for available positions must be available to work from June 2, 2025, through July 10, 2025. Apply early! Space is limited.

The Y.E.S.S. Program, which is funded through the State of California Youth Service Corps, will provide over one hundred (100) youth jobs for students ages 16-19 who live in the city of Stockton. During this 6-week summer employment program, local youth will earn $23 per hour, experience a formal workplace setting, build their skills, and raise their awareness of public sector career pathways.

In addition to work experience, students will participate in workshops that focus on counseling, mental wellness, career readiness mentoring, and personal development. These supportive services enhance the overall work experience and help participants overcome employment barriers normally experienced when employed for the first time.
