City of Stockton Announces Funding Availability for programs offering Vocational Opportunities for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

The City of Stockton has announced the release of the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for programs offering Vocational Opportunities for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities. The goal of this grant is to provide funding to eligible organizations that provide vocational programs for adults with intellectual disabilities. Details, including application requirements and deadlines, are available at the City of Stockton Economic Development webpage.
Organizations applying for funding must be aware of the application timeline:
- NOFA Release: April 3, 2025
- Applications Due (by 4:00 p.m.): May 1, 2025
- Interview Process: To be determined
- Notification of Award Recommendations: June 2025
This NOFA, totaling $1,000,000, is intended to make financial resources available to workforce development entities, community nonprofits and associations that provide workforce development programs for adults with intellectual disabilities. Programs should be designed to develop valuable work experience, strengthen professional skills and abilities, and allow for workforce entry or re-entry in an engaging, accessible, and safe manner.

Workforce Development

- Development of new skills
- Exploration of different career paths
Career Preparation
- Enhancing personal responsibilities
- Developing career goals and paths
- Transition into the workforce
Educational and Technical Training
- Support in resume and cover letter crafting
- Educational and professional training
