New City of Stockton Website Coming December 14
12/12/2023
The City of Stockton will launch a new, improved website on Thursday, December 14. The new website features more photos and images and is designed to be responsive on all devices – desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. Quick links and buttons will help those visiting the site access the most requested services that the City delivers to the community.
The City’s website address (URL) will not change. Visitors will still reach the City’s website at www.stocktonca.gov. Depending on the internet service provider used when visiting the website, or the browser, such as Google, Edge, Bing, Safari, etc., some visitors may still see the current (former) site and pages displayed for up to 48 hours. Links to favorite or bookmarked pages may also have changed.
The new website offers enhanced searching through Google, will display a search button in the center of the Homepage, and provides a search (magnifying glass) option in the upper-right corner on every webpage. One of the key highlights is webpage content translated by Google Translate and available in multiple languages to meet the needs and expectations of our diverse community. Accessibility options and settings have also been added, making it easier for all users to navigate the content, such as contrast, highlighted links, text font size, increased line spacing, pausing animations, and hiding images.
Community members and visitors to the new website are encouraged to share their experience and let us know what needs improvement. For information or assistance, please call 209-937-8827, Make a Request through Ask Stockton, or visit www.stocktonca.gov/news.
