Community Development Block & Emergency Solutions Notice of Funding Availability

The City of Stockton will be releasing a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the 2024-25 program year for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The City is seeking proposals from eligible organizations that engage in public service projects directly benefiting low-income families within the City of Stockton. Organizations interested in applying for these federal grant funds must attend a mandatory application workshop on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Applications will only be accepted from organizations whose representative(s) attend the workshop.

The mandatory workshop will be held in the Stewart Hazelton Room at the Cesar Chavez Central Library, 605 N. El Dorado St., Stockton. The deadline for application submissions is 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2024. It is anticipated that selected, eligible applications and recommended funding levels will be heard first at a Public Hearing, then approved by the City Council, in April of 2024.

The City of Stockton anticipates receiving approximately $700,000 in CDBG funding, and $250,000 in ESG funding. These funds are provided through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City is seeking applications from organizations and agencies with the experience and qualifications to administer CDBG and ESG federal block grant programs.
