Stockton Small Business Week Celebration - Ribbon Cutting May 1

STOCKTON, Calif. – The City of Stockton and local business service organizations join the national movement to celebrate and support America’s small businesses during Small Business Week. From April 30 to May 6, 2023, Stockton will celebrate Small Business Week with virtual and in-person events, workshops, and other activities for small business owners and entrepreneurs. The City of Stockton will host a celebration event in honor of Stockton Small Business Week on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. Join us on the steps of City Hall, 425 N. El Dorado St., to celebrate the small businesses in our community.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community,” said Carrie Wright, Economic Development Director. “Stockton Small Business Week is an opportunity to recognize their critical role and contributions. This special week celebrates the economic impact, innovation, and cultural importance of Stockton’s unique business community with local resources that help everyone prosper.”

The Stockton Small Business Week Ribbon Cutting on May 1st will include support, recognition and encouragement from local leadership, the celebration of entrepreneurs in the national award-winning Stockton Community Kitchen program, and networking opportunities with other small business owners and business resource providers. Small business owners participating in City programs will also be present to share information about their unique businesses and experience as entrepreneurs in Stockton.

The City and its partner organizations have an entire week of programming that will launch immediately following the ribbon cutting. Programming includes technical assistance, resources, webinars, networking at mixer events, and other fantastic opportunities to benefit the Stockton small business community.
