The Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting and practicing values that will tie the community closer together through cross-culturalism showcased within our richly diverse community. In leading by example, the Chamber has inaugurated the Growing Unity Inclusion Diversity & Equity (GUIDE) program.
Through this initiative it is the goal of the Chamber to optimize Chamber advocacy, elevate and transition community conversations and to demonstrate the power of diversity in Stockton and San Joaquin County. As the Chamber represents thousands of voices of local business people, we must ensure that there is no room for intolerable actions that pose as a barrier to participate in any activity of the Chamber based on economic position, gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability. It is only because of these differences that we can acknowledge the different barriers within the community to actively work to deconstruct the barriers for the community citizens.
GUIDE was created on the platform to build and sustain an equitable, inclusive business environment in Stockton, San Joaquin County and our region. Additionally, to become a civic model for the implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion strategies that advance education, innovation, and economic growth in the Central Valley.
For more information about the GUIDE Program and to be added to the meeting notification list please contact Timm Quinn at (209) 292-8423 or tquinn@stocktonchamber.org
