a huge success

JANUARY 2009  - On December 4, the Energy & Clean Business Expo, sponsored by the Chamber and Valley Clean Air Now, attracted more than 350 people to learn about what they can do to reduce air admissions and save on energy.

According to Lisa Barry with the California Integrated Waste Management Board and a panelist at the conference, the event was very informative for all attendees because it offered actual case studies on what businesses are doing to help their bottom line as well as the environment.

“The three sessions were packed with interested businesses and the keynote speaker gave the specifics of the challenges we face,” she said.

Elisa Moberly, Management Analyst with San Joaquin County Public Works Solid Waste Division said the event was a shining example of what the Green Team San Joaquin program is trying to achieve…”bringing solutions to our businesses, not just talking about it.”

The Green Team San Joaquin meets on every second Wednesday of the Month at 9 a.m. at the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce.  The next meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 9 a.m.  For more information, please contact Frank Ferral at fferral@stocktonchamber.org.
