NOVEMBER
2008 - The
Business Education Alliance (BEA) has been busy with the completion of
very successful events the past couple of months including the Semi-Annual
Outback Steakhouse Scholarship Luncheon.
On
October 15th, Outback Steakhouse in partnership with the
Business Education Alliance, held the 6th Semi-Annual Outback
Scholarship Luncheon, a fundraiser that provides scholarships to five
graduating seniors in
San
Joaquin
County
.
The Outback Steakhouse served a superb lunch of steak, chicken or
pasta, to a packed house of over 100 guests, raising a total of $1,515
toward the scholarships.
If
you missed your chance to attend the Outback Steakhouse Scholarship
Luncheon this time around, we will hold our next luncheon next year in
April.
Please
mark your calendars and support this fundraiser as we try to surpass last
year’s amount. Toward the
end of the school year, we will announce the recipient names and present
them with a check at our May Business Education Alliance Meeting.
Outback
Steakhouse has given so much to the Stockton community since their arrival
in 1998. They have been
involved with the United Way, Stockton Conference & Visitor’s
Bureau, American Cancer Society and the BEA to name a few.
Outback current employees constantly volunteer their time to
various community events. We
would like to send a big THANK YOU to Outback Steakhouse for their
continued support and contribution to the BEA program.
