ATHENA nominations due Sept. 5

SEPTEMBER 2008 -  In November, the Chamber will present the prestigious ATHENA Award to an outstanding individual in our community. This Award is presented to one who has attained and personified the highest level of professional excellence in their business or profession, has devoted time and energy to our community in a meaningful way, and most especially, has opened doors of leadership opportunity for women.

The ATHENA recipient will be selected from nominations, and we look to you for suggestions on potential recipients. Within your organization, there are undoubtedly some individuals who are exceptional professional and community leaders. Let us know who they are by filling out the ATHENA Nomination Form found on the Chamber website www.StocktonChamber.org.

The nomination criteria for the ATHENA award includes:

o        Demonstrates excellence in their business/profession.

o        Provides outstanding service to their business/profession and to their community.

o        Exhibits initiative and creativity.

o        Demonstrates support of the goals of professional women, and provides unselfish assistance on their behalf.
