[RETURN TO CHAMBER HOME PAGE]

JULY 2008 - The San Joaquin County Agricultural Hall of Fame is requesting nominations for outstanding agricultural leaders and mentors in our community.  Now in its 24th year, the Agricultural Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have contributed to agriculture and to their community in significant ways.  Each year, awards are given to at least three living recipients, as well as posthumous ones.

Last year’s award recipients were Mark Chandler, vineyard farmer, Gersh Rosen, ag instructor and counselor, Paul Sanguinetti, multi crop farmer, Kenny Watkins III , livestock, row crops, tree crops and hay services, and our posthumous honoree was Armando Baldocci, row crop and asparagus farmer.  All those previously recognized in the Agricultural Hall of Fame have their photographs and biographies on display at the San Joaquin Historical Society & Museum in Micke Grove Park.

Nomination forms are available from the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce, and need to be submitted by August 8th in order to be considered.  For more information, please call Timm Quinn at 547-2960 .
